Cracked: The Perplexing World of Egg Donation

CRACKED reveals the world of egg donation at a time when fertility rates are collapsing. Infertile potential parents are desperate to find egg donors with the right traits, the right ethnicity. But donating an egg is not simple and invites multiple risks. Through intimate stories of couples searching for donors, a Hollywood actor who had her child through egg donation, and frank confessions from a donor who is helping scores of families welcome babies, the film explores the economics, emotional costs and ethics of egg donation. It illuminates how rapid advances in reproductive science have left countries, cultures and laws struggling to catch up and both egg donors and those yearning for babies walking on eggshells.
