EVOLUTION EARTH embarks on a global expedition to reveal the extraordinary ways animals are keeping pace with a planet that is changing at superspeed. But this seemingly inhospitable landscape is home to an exotic species of mountain sheep and the Native peoples who have used this mountain for millennia. This documentary explores how the very minerals that attract the sheep and the indigenous people may also cause them to abandon Mount Todagin…forever.

Becoming Elephant: The Orphans Of Reteti

BECOMING ELEPHANT is a powerful documentary series set in Northern Kenya, following the remarkable journey of orphaned elephants at Reteti - the first community-owned elephant sanctuary in Africa. Raised by Samburu keepers who act as surrogate parents, these elephants are nurtured back to health and prepared for life in the wild. From tiny calves taking their first bottle to older elephants facing release, the series captures intimate moments of struggle, healing, and transformation. It also tells the story of the local community, especially the women known as “milk mamas”, whose contributions are reshaping the conservation model from the ground up.

Cub Camp

Judy and Roger Stearns, ordinary people with a little bit of land and a lot of heart, run Black Bear Rescue Manitoba. Every spring they welcome in orphaned black bear cubs to their 10-acre facility. All of the cubs arrive deeply traumatized and alone, with some cubs being so young that they are blind and helpless. But with the round-the-clock care provided by the Stearns, including bottle feeding at all hours, these baby bears gradually recover and even thrive. As they grow, they develop distinct personalities, and learn the skills they need to survive. And, in the fall, the group of healthy and confident cubs are ready to return to the wilderness, having grown up under the safe wing of CUB CAMP.

How to be a Wild Elephant

In 2010 a baby elephant named Sities was rescued and brought to the Trust’s Nairobi Nursery to begin her rehabilitation. Her remarkable story was followed by audiences worldwide who watched her progress from day one. Three years later we catch up with Sities and learn of her challenges as she leaves the safety of the Nursery and moves on to the next phase of her journey back to freedom.
