Weaving together exquisite underwater expeditions, a global reef mapping mission, cutting-edge genetic engineering and evolution research in Australia, Hawaii, Florida, and the South Pacific, REEF RESCUE follows the story of an international team of scientists who are “assisting evolution” to develop corals that can survive in the oceans of our future.

Dances With Cranes
Sea to Sea Productions
1 x 60' 4K
DANCES WITH CRANES follows the incredible journey of the whooping crane, one of the world’s rarest and most ancient birds, predating humans by tens of thousands of years. Once nearly extinct, with fewer than 20 remaining in the 1940s, these majestic creatures are still fighting for survival. This film explores the remarkable efforts of scientists who will go to any length to save them—whether performing mating dances or jumping from helicopters to study them in the wild. Over the course of a year in the life of three whooping crane chicks, we witness the challenges of bringing a species back from the brink of extinction, from the early conservation efforts to new threats posed by climate change. DANCES WITH CRANES tells a story of resilience, dedication, and the fight to protect an ancient species.

But it also has the capacity to do the opposite: to stoke division and inequality and disconnect us from fellow humans. THE MACHINE THAT FEELS shows viewers what they need to know about a field that is advancing at a dizzying pace, often away from the public eye. What does it mean when AI makes art? How is it possible that AI creates sophisticated neural networks that mimic the human brain? Can AI interpret and understand human emotions and what does it mean to be human in a world filled with machines that feel? This special seeks to answer and investigate these questions, and more.
